Gmail Redesign Fixes Annoyances, But Adds a Pesky Ad
Leaked video recording of an upcoming Gmail redesign looks good at a glance, merely upon closer inspection, it besides makes one alter that's sure to annoy users.
At the 0:54 mark in the video, you can see a text-based Gmail advertisement in a new place, at once below the e-ring armor reply field. This is in addition to the ads that Gmail already displays on the right sidebar.
Although the Gmail redesign hasn't gone live eventually, and things could transfer before it does, the new ad placement looks like the fashionable attempt by Google to squeeze Thomas More advertizement dollars out of its e-mail service service. Earlier this year, Google declared plans to clear Gmail ads smarter past collecting data over time instead of simply scanning your current e-mail message for keywords. Judging from the redesign prevue video, IT looks like these streetwise ads will appear in the new localization, below the electronic mail reply field.
Google has previously experimented with color image display ads, but they've only been sighted sporadically so far.
Along the bright side, Google appears to be fixing some of Gmail's other annoyances with the redesign. Chat and label windows will equal resizeable, the search subroutine will equal flowing with a clean-looking for drop off-set menu, and the integral page bequeath automatically format itself to fit some windowpane size in the web browser.
